Skating Room Policy (Off Lobby)

The figure skating room located off the lobby of the arena is a dedicated space for our Junior, Intermediate, and Senior skaters. To ensure privacy, safety, and respect for all members, the following rules apply:

 

Female Skaters Only:

• The Skating Room is reserved for female skaters only.

 

Parental Assistance:

• Parents or guardians who need to help tie skates are asked to do so in the lobby, not inside the Skating Room. (see below)

 

Privacy & Respect:

• Knock before entering and wait for permission to enter. Do not enter if someone is changing.

 

Clean & Safe Use:

•     Keep the room tidy and store belongings in your assigned locker.

•     No horseplay in the Skating Room.

 

Security:

• Skate Wheatley is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please lock up or take valuables with you.

• This policy supports a safe, comfortable, and respectful environment for all our skaters. 

An arena dressing room will also be available during skating times for any junior, intermediate, or senior skater who prefers to put on their skates there. Parents and guardians are welcome to accompany their skater into that dressing room to assist with tying skates. Alternately there will be chairs or a bench available in the lobby for those junior, intermediate, or senior skaters who need help tying skates before heading onto the ice.

This policy may be updated by the Board if laws, facility rules, or circumstances change.
