Volunteer & Fundraising Policy

 

To outline the structure by which families can earn back their volunteer fee and raffle fee.

Volunteer Fee:

  • All families pay a $100 volunteer fee at registration

  • Families can earn points to have this fee refunded (tracking sheet must be signed off by Board Member)
    • Volunteer at our Club Events (Pop Concert, Sweetheart Showcase, Carnival): 1 point per event/per day

    • Fundraising Sales: 1 point per $75 sold

→ Families that achieve 3 points (e.g., volunteer at two (2) events and sell $75 in fundraising) will receive the $100 volunteer fee refunded at the end of the season.

Raffle Tickets:

  • Each family prepays $100 in raffle tickets at registration (tickets will be provided to skaters in mid-January)

    • NOTE: PreCan and CanSkate Families who register for Fall half season session only will not be charged the $100 raffle ticket fee; PreCan and CanSkate Families who register for the Winter half season session will be charged the $100 in raffle tickets at time of registration (draw is during the 7pm Carnival Show and you do not need to be present to win)

  • Families sell the raffle tickets and will keep the proceeds for themselves (essentially earning the $100 back)

    • Board members and their skaters are not required to sell raffle tickets because of lottery license restrictions, therefore board members do not pay this prepaid raffle ticket fee
